Morning all,
Nice bright day here got the wm on and will hang washing out today for blow, day off for me as I am working the weekend.
Thanks for the good wishes for Evie, she is on anti-histamine and antibiotics, the vet thinks its an allergic reaction to something but cant say what, he also cleaned her anal gland which was very very impacted, we think from when she was caged for 8 hours a day and she would not mess in the cage so held it in, poor baby, she really did not like it and Im afraid to say 'screamed' the vets downthe vet nurse had to come in and help me hold her, I really hope this doesn't put her off going.
Tru you could have come to me yesterday (fox's poo and all) but I did not read the post till last night.
Today I will be having a good clean through and then dropping DD at the station, will take Evie for a long walk, then home for a rest on the sofa and a film.
Dinner tonight will be pie (ys) and chips and peas, nice and easy and no effort needed.
Have good days all xx
Hope all goes well TA xx0 -
Good morning all and thanks again to NMLC for todays thread . You seem to pack so much into the day , I hope you get the feet up at some point .
Well done to all on the bsd . Impressed with TA taking a salad with her today . I hope all is well and Mr TA enjoys his curry . I would be interested to hear your views on the spiraliser when you've had a chance to try it . I've been wondering whether to get one .
RR Poor little evie . I hope the treatment works , she must feel so much more comfortable after the vet cleared the gland . She's doing so well after the bad start and I wish you many happy days together .
Hester Glad you seem to be enjoying the break . Shame about the cold weather - maybe you should have packed more than the pvc mac love !!!
Dumpling I hope you feel a bit better now . You'll get there in the end .
Hugs to the Candlelights and Judi .
Gers I hope you enjoy your chinese . Big hug for you x
Well grey and miserable again but the rain has stopped so hope to get a wash load out . Today will be meal planning and sorting a shopping list for tomorrow - I seem to have run out of certain cupboard staples .
Need to do some paperwork and a small amount of ironing .
Take care all -hugs to any who want

It's now almost 10.30pm and I'm tucked in bed for my final night in Melbourne. It's been a tough old week and I really will be glad to get back to Glasgow and then my own place.
Chinese food was lovely as was the chat with my SIL and old friend. We yabbered away for ages about all sorts, some sad and some happy. Nephew 1 arrived at the hotel just as we were leaving after his long bike ride. I left him sitting on the floor taking part in a business meeting over Skype and found him still there when I got back.
Suitcase is almost packed, I've ditched all my grey knickers so it's emptier. It only weighed 7.4kg on the way out. Emirates code share with Qantas which means I've got a Qantas flight back to Dubai which I wasn't expecting. I sure it'll be fine!
And so this awful time is almost at an end.0 -
Sleep well Gers . Wishing you a safe journey home x

Good Afternoon everyone, I'm finally back home after a couple of hectic but lovely weeks away. Sweden was everything I hoped it would be, DD1 is safely back in her own home and we are back in ours, DD2 and the Zebra are still out in California but sound to be having an amazing time and the pictures she sends us show that Zebra is having a whale of a time, we even have one of him in the cockpit of a US fighter jet in one of the museums not bad for a 2 year old!!! Now I'm looking forward to getting back into routine for a while and just doing 'normal everyday' things and bringing a few new touches to the home to put a little Swedishness into it, many really pretty ideas seen on our travels. The fire is lit in the lounge and I'm a bit down on sleep so I'm going to sit down and meal plan for a few days and likely will drift off for a doze, lovely!!!0

Redruby Jack Spaniel sends a big, slurpy Spaniel kiss to Evie; having the ol' glands done is not fun! Still, better done than left. I hope the meds sort her out - can you sort of mentally retrace her steps to think what she might have had a reaction to? Healing energy on it's way for the little lass.
Just had a call from the franchisee - he was supposed to collect Jack tomorrow morning, and then bring me Ollie Staffie in the afternoon, but he (franchisee) has an important appointment he has to attend in the morning, so it looks like it'll be a swapover of the 2 dogs tomorrow afternoon. Should be interesting! Luckily Mr LW will be here to help.:o We'll probably have Ollie in via the back gate, straight to the garden, where Mr LW can entertain him, shutting the gate once he's in, and Jack out via the front door; that way, they won't meet.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Pollyanna,
I got a spiraliser last year and can say it's well worth it. Saying that I lent it to DS and his fiancee to try a few weeks ago and haven't got it back yet. I must get it back this weekend though because it would be ideal to have courgetti on the BSD.0 -
Thanks Snoozer . What do you use yours for ?

I've used courgetti as a replacement for noodles in stir fries and with pasta dishes. I also like them raw in salads and I've done carrots as well although they are more difficult to get through the spiralizer.0

Evening all,
Just to let you know I'm still here. Not posting or reading much as my eyesight isn't brilliant and I'm having to use my phone to post.
Going home tomorrow. I was so looking forward to getting away a few weeks ago but all I need now is home and normality.
Have a good evening allThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
