Abnormal boiler consumption
Hello, guys! My story is a bit long but bare with me.
I moved to a new-built 2 bed flat with a Pulsacoil A class boiler last December. From 18 Dec to 4 Jan the electricity has cost me £76. At first I thought this is too much but I think it was possibly fair. I was up all night, cooking, had to wash and dry a ton of clothes and deep clean the whole place.
Now I really think there is something wrong with the boiler because it basically wastes energy.
For the last 3 months we have used more than 2700kW which is a massive consumption! Most households have at most half of that consumption over the same time period! I checked the meter 2 times with an hour in between and calculated the consumption. We made an experiment by turning off the boiler for 2 hours and checking consumption before and after again. It is clear that the boiler is the issue. (No problems with the hot water supply whatsoever. I can confirm that we do not have Economy 7 too.)
Do you have any ideas on what may be causing the extreme electricity consumption and how to fix it?
Thank you!

Is this video any help, it mentions that it should only heat water at night with just top up's during the day.
