Help £70 charges for unsolicited premium rate services

I've received £70 worth of charges for services that I have not signed up to added to My lat bill and my most current bill.

These are from a few companies, oxygen 8, impulsepaydemo, appltk and another which I can't remember the name of. I have been in touch with Vodafone who weren't much help at all and directed me to phonepayplus can't contact them by phone as I work 9-5 Monday to Friday and they are only open 9-5 Monday to Friday but have followed advice on the website of emailing the company who have advise they have taken me off their lists but they evidently haven't.

Vodafone have advised that I must pay this and ask for a refund through payphonepllus but my understanding of this service is that it's for advice not to act on your behalf and I'm reluctant to pay these charges as I don't believe that a company who has shady means of taking money off me will just easily refund my money. They were also pretty insistent that I must have watched !!!!!! who had a younger brother who would have when I told them this is not the case (which annoyed me immensly!!) And that the only way around this is by them blocking any sort of payment using my phone including online shopping.

Has anyone encountered this at all ? What are the chances of getting my money back ? £70 is an amount of money I can't afford for what amounts to thin air .

do you not get any breaks in your 9-5 job when you could call them?
Surely a call would be a lot quicker to sort out rather than emailing back n forth.
  • Tried but I only get half an hour lunch and can't get through in time.
