Hmm wondering if this would be picked up in a A vs M shop. Need lots of milk now as our GP has stopped OH Ensure prescription and prescribed something that has to be mixed with milk. Cut backs I guess. They tried to do it before and our local pharmacist said just tell them it gives you the runs, so as to get the Ensure prescribed again. Was :money: while it lasted. Also pharmacist said there wasn't that much price difference between the ready mixed up stuff and the power you have to mix yourself. Hmm not sure about that one.

Thank you nannylala and everyone else who has commented re my mum. Yesterday, not much change but slight improvement so better than further deteriaotion . Main problems seems to be extremely high calcium levels in her body and her kidneys not coping with it. So they are doing their best to bring down the calcium levels and having lots of drips to help the kidneys. Still not established what is causing this as unable to do CT scan yet as too weak but still think its to do with previous diagnosis of breast cancer i.e. it has spread but they don't know where. Hopefully mum will be stronger today and enable them to do further tests. Mum is fighting hard. :A

On another note I have another problem with my boss. I work as a contractor for him and get paid on the last day of the month. In Aprll he went on holiday on Tuesday 26th so I gave him my invoice early and he said he would pay it. So he was away until today and all weekend I have been checking my account and no money. If i hadnt just done weekends work for my sister and sold a few things on EBay I wouldnt have been able to pay my mortgage last week. So we agreed that we would do vat and some other end of year things on Thursday. So when I left I said i would be in tommorow afternoon and he said not too worry I could just come in Thursday. So that means not only have I not been paid but I am losing 3 hours work this week.
When we had the run in last month I asked for a pay rise and he said he wanted to cut my hours but we said we would leave in until I had finished year end.
When I started 2 years ago this week he said the hours were 21 a week and at VAT and year end I might have to do more. Throughout the last 2 years I have never done more than 21 hours a week ( no need to as i was able to do the work in the time allotted ) and after getting the books in order ( after the mess the previous girl left )
I am really fed up as I feel he is taking the p+++ out of me

So sorry this is going on again rose, you really deserve better. Surely now is the perfect time to find another job/client? Plenty of time to get things sorted for the next tax year. At least you can take the time to look for a new one and you don't have to give him notice as he does not employ you (not suggesting you would do that, just saying you could leap as soon as someone said yes ) In your position I would be doing everything I could to allow me to leave, I think he is taking you for granted. Either that or do something to shake him up a bit. Might be worth working a little slower so you can't get everything done in the time allotted .............
