vanilla_twist wrote: »Thanks. Tried to buy a mattress for guest room but keeps crashing on me. Probably fixing something.
I saw post earlier today on fb they had the units with 6 storage baskets for £10 but none near me. Good price for just the baskets really.
Will try for mattress in early hours.
Did something very mse while on phone to N about nus cards. Booked our September holiday not cruising this time but 10 nights AI in antigua:j:j
Got an incredible bargain as price shoots up £1500 each if we went following week and less than our bargain cruise last year. N so wants to show me where she grew up and I think she is looking forward to being 'home' but waited on hand and foot. Soo excited and don't really need to go shopping for this holiday as have all my lovely holiday dresses plus my new bargain from boden (£105 of original price). Love boden as have cotton linings in dresses where most places would put nasty linings in linen dresses.
Was having a great run of nsd until Wednesday but fallen off wagon.
Fingers crossed for my mattress later.

Sounds great :j Well done on getting such a bargain! Something to really look forward to. I'm with you on nasty linings too. I don't like anything that makes a swishy noise on the inside
Good luck with the mattress.0 -

You do a grand job with your lists :kisses3:
That's alright.
(I also didn't notice Sal had told me the McVities Milk Chocolate Jumbo Digestives weren't working.)
I'm glad this product isn't available in A:rotfl:. I noticed it first at Wrexham on Monday - they had it at the front at £6; however the SEL in the main laundry aisle (from which I believe prices are taken, in whichever Ms they take them) said £11. I saw stock with the offer price out again at another M on Wednesday.
As for my lists...:rotfl::rotfl::o:o:rotfl: - I don't know, I have thought maybe I am going over the top and all the time I spend getting the prices etc... I shouldn't really be doing it all. However, I suppose it has also become 'something that I just do' - it gives me something to do on Mondays and Wednesdays (and occasional other days too) and I suppose I just like doing it - in fact, on one level, I'm not completely obsessive (I am obsessive but not completely) about it - since, sometimes, I have conflicts over pricing and half the places are saying a price I don't think something really is but I just haven't got the wherewithal (or possibly the time?) to check it at the SS - I can't rely on tills, they sometimes give me incorrect information - last time I had the Red Rectangular Bowl - I was told it was £1 (to be fair they told me the till wouldn't show if it was an offer price) - I still didn't believe it and, after I'd been told it was £1, I still took it to the SS and scanned it there - and, guess what?,... 50p!:rotfl:
Sometimes I just end up having to leave other things unsatisfactorily with more than half my stores saying one thing but me thinking the real price is the minority option - sometimes I can resolve it via m.com/msm but sometimes I just have to guess (I think correctly). I'm not sure whether I have deleted the Haddock Fillets in error or whether £2.63 is the correct price that is what I have seen. The offer label may simply have fallen off in that store - there was no stock left so I couldn't have scanned it anyway - my other two stores were both no trace (in other words no stock and no SEL). So, sometimes the items go off but I suspect they may still be on (the frozen prawns were/are) and the fresh Haddock Fillets may go back onto the list next week but I suspect they will have gone up then.0 -

Cant wait to do it again, hopefully we will have warmer weather so we can eat ice cream (squids) by the seaI, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

The lists now take about 15 minutes to reset them to non-bold:rotfl::rotfl: (used to be a two minute job), before I can even start updating them again. They take about half an hour to print off now, whenever they have become so different from what hard copy I already have that I have to print them again. So, after resetting them, then starting the task of updating them sometimes seems a lot. It's usually actually when there isn't as much to update that I tend to put it off:rotfl:. I'll try to return tomorrow to do the majority of the updating (I've only added a few items at the moment). I need to do a proper check of the ready meals, using my earlier posts to work out which part of them was incorrect, for me then to put the right info. onto the list. There's other items to add too but I've already mentioned the majority the other day.0

VT...Hope your foot is recovering nicely and you are not in pain.Love Antigua ..have stopped off on cruises, used the little put put buses to get around ,rather than pay cruise prices.
Thank you. Foot is really strange and pains are changing all the time. Routine Gp appointment today and she told me it was a pretty big op:eek:
Will be going up and down stairs like a 3 year old for quite a while yet.
Antigua I think we are hiring a car.N used to ride the island on horseback in her teens but car far more agreeable to me. Have an idea of what to expect as been to Jamaica. Obviously I have been assured antigua is a lot nicer. I only need the sun and good cocktails
Glad to hear the meet went so well. Presume booths is a department store with food as we don't have them down here.

Good luck with the mattress.
Mum replaces the nasty nylon linings if the dress is really nice. That's the benefit of boden lush linings.
