I got an insurance through TCB about 2 weeks ago, and was about to put a ticket in as it isnt even showing, but when I looked, apparently it can take up to 6 weeks to show if you use their comparison site “Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

Noticed on HUKD that TCB is double tell a friend to £15 (premium, £10 classic) plus they get 500 T cc points once they have earned £10 Cashback.

Overall, the price collectors for A are actually doing quite well. IMO. Apart from the fact they can't pick up 8 for £2 for the Muller Corners and probably many of the items that we'd actually want:(. However, as expected really and therefore no criticism of Sal, the wombles just don't buy the items that would be most interesting to see. I live in hope - maybe again at some point they will just happen to have a random hit on one of the good M items (that isn't profoundly available in M to me and would give us some very useful information). Other people may have the wombles that include those though - as Sal has had them on more than one occasion in the past:T:T. I think it's keep looking folks!0

Just an example of the "problems" that I have (not really, as they are resolved). I got the details of the John West Kipper Fillets in Brine and Kipper Fillets in Sunflower Oil - 160g - from a big M store miles away. Then I come to check they are still valid on another day. I checked my own main big M - no trace. I checked my second big M - no trace at all again. Just nowhere to be seen - not on the shelf, no empty space, no SEL, nothing, they are definitely not in there. Small store to the rescue again:rotfl: - my smallest of the nearby Ms - found both of them, with the offer on them, in there!
I suspect if I eventually reach Leamington - which I understand is M's biggest store - I will come back and you'll think maybe I have now, finally, got everything - but, no - I'll find numerous items not there that are dispersed across different Ms across the country:rotfl:.0 -

Do they collect from the house with this, or is it a drop off at the post office jobbie?“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

And £8 in M:). Will the collectors find it?
I've lost it:rotfl: - it was on RTC a couple of weeks ago. It is not in the M where it was before - and I now have it nowhere else (but I've not yet checked many stores since I first found it). M will definitely have it somewhere else on £8 RTC earlier this week, on collection days, even if I haven't seen it this week. So - stick it on an M comp. shop (nothing to lose maybe) - I hope they don't find a much higher price on something from somewhere:eek::eek: - and can anyone here elsewhere confirm that, indeed, this product is currently on the shelf of their M? TIA.
(It's on my list. I will not be removing the item - because, every time I have done so before, it has always turned out that some M has the item I have removed - and, therefore, M itself has it. It is available from their competitor at £8 and you could, in theory, buy it from them if you can find the right ones of their stores. So, if you'd gone to M (the right Ms) it would have cost you £8. And A should be 10% cheaper or give the difference guaranteed. I can't prove it, currently - however it is most unlikely indeed to have disappeared from all Ms and be totally unavailable from them so soon after it has been clearly available in M for me. I've found RTC items, that seem to have vanished from many stores, months later still somewhere else at some M. And not just a few months either but long after, sometimes, I would have expected they would have been gone (except that now I expect everything to remain, at least somewhere, almost indefinitely).)
EDIT:
:(Why is it now showing £15.00 for M online? I have had it clearly at £8 RTC - has it now gone up in price, perhaps in other stores apart from the one that had the RTC? Is this another example, supposedly, of those RTC items that then go up in price having it seems failed to clear? I don't know - maybe best to put it on a shop that won't normally be a comparison anyway - just in case they have M at £8 on the system and it turns out better than thought.

I had the 70cl Pimms on my list as a 'buy in M' - maybe I didn't find it online for A back then.
I think I assumed on not finding it in any of my stores now that it had disappeared since it was the RTC price before - but I bet it's vanished into the ether of the other stock around it now on the shelf and has become £15 that I haven't noticed. Must pay more attention in future to seek out increased price £15 items within the shelving - sorry I thought it had gone in that store that I checked again, because of its previous price and therefore was likely now only to be found in some other M. It wasn't now next to the 1L version in my store where it was before. It's with RTC items vanishing from all my local stores but in fact then being available (as later found by me) in other people's stores - I assumed this item had similarly gone (but that it would be available at this price in another store away from me).
I will now delete the item from my list since there is doubt about whether I have the correct current price. It may have gone up - like the Bassett's Jelly Babies carton seemingly went from 50p RTC one day to £1.98 or £4 or whatever it was by two days' later.0 -
Strange day.
took the ailing kitty to the vet and she's now lying in the great cat bed in the sky. Stomach tumorI was very grateful for an honest vet who told me not to consider the alternatives. Some professions get a reputation for being unscrupulous in order to make money
he wasn't.
I found Ds2 in floods of tears after school today. I talked to him and I hugged him (and he let me hug him ) and we're still not clear if he cried because he felt it or because he thinks people cry when friends die and it 'the thing to do'I'd dearly love to be able to understand what he really feels. He obviously felt something so I'll go with that.
I never did get to the shop to claim my free carling.....maybe tomorrow :rotfl:0 -
It seems sometimes like a charade.
I've had, for example, Wagg Complete Beef & Vegetables dog food (12Kg) at £7.50 offer in M.
Then I saw a SEL - no stock - in one store for 25% extra 'free' of Wagg Complete Beef & Vegetables (15Kg for 12Kg) at... wait for it... £9!
So, not £7.50 at all despite supposedly having the extra "free". I have found stock of it now (the 15Kg for 12Kg bags) and the card says £9.
So, has the straight 12Kg now gone up in price right at the very moment before the retailer then brings in the "+25%" bags that are then offered for £9 rather than £7.50?
Or is the straight pack at £7.50 available in some stores whilst the extra "free" pack, that sees you pay £1.50 more, is only available in other stores and can therefore be offered there at £9? On the basis that, if the 12Kg straight packs were available there, they would be straight £9.
I bet there's been a price change. The extra free packs were never available when the 12Kg bags were £7.50, so you're now not getting 15Kg for 12Kg for the £7.50 price (the price on 12Kg before) but instead for £9 and in effect paying £1.50 for the extra rather than it being free (due to the price increase on the 12Kg bags in the meantime whilst the 15Kg for... bags then started to be offered). They think I don't notice:rotfl:. However, I visit several of their stores:D.
Can anyone check in M to establish the true position as of now? As I visit different stores at different times. Have some people now got in M the 12Kg bags at £7.50 but no extra free packs at all. Whilst others, at the same time, have 15Kg for... packs charged at £9 but no straight 12Kg bags are available in their store? I don't seem to have both sizes available in a same store at the same time. In the meantime, having now seen 15Kg for 12Kg at £9 (and also earlier seeing a SEL £9 but no stock for that in another store), I have deleted the 12Kg packs already from my list as I had them at £7.50 but haven't seen them last time so don't know what their price currently is. I suspect they've gone up, so that they can now charge you more for a 15Kg bag that claims to offer the same price as the 12Kg (whose price has, possibly, now increased - thus you're paying for that extra 3Kg that is being offered as "free" - or am I missing something and am completely wrong?).
The other examples are the BM Turkey Ham - extra "free" packs offered at £2 when offer of £1 on straight packs available elsewhere soon before and after - no price at all on the shelf on those in the store that offered the "extra free" version.
And the Cook Essentials Frying pan set that went down to £3 RTC and was later seen in two other stores at crossed out was £5, now £4 RTC. And which, to my dismay, was rather diminished in stock at the £4 RTC store a week later - having been offered, unless it was a subtly different BC on an identically described item of same sizes of each pan - previously at £3 RTC in at least one other store before going onto increased to clear RTC price of £4 in another store.
Unless I have clearly messed up and have missed something.0
