It doesn t take them 3 to 5 days to take the money though does it. It's just one more thing to remember isn t it. I wish they came through straight away .

A few weeks ado, when in a different A to my usual, the CS told me they did not give them out anymore...so I said 'let me just call HO, and check with them, whilst I stand here'. HO confirmed I should be given a giftcard, and I passed my phone to the CS, so that he could tell her to issued the giftcard. She gave me my giftcard, but I didnt get a smile :D

My response is that my daughter/sister etc work for A's and she's told me that it's company policy that a gc is given but their manager tells them not to and advise the customer (if asked) that their policy has changed. Is it the same with your manager? Invariable, they respond yes, you're right and then hand over the gc. Another ploy is, when the gc isn't forthcoming, say that my daughter/sister etc work for A and if they didn't, I wouldn't have known about the gc policy. Both work a treat. Primarily, I think it's because they are let off the hook as they can blame the manager!
