I love marmite...but I also love a bit of peanut butter or marmalade occasionally too...
variety is the spice of life...life would be bland if we just had butter but sometimes its good to strip back to the basics too.

Good morning all...
I've not posted much recently and only really read snippets of what's been going on....
....but I will hold my hand up and say that I too reported the posts from yesterday....one set I will admit not so much for their content but the way that when asked to stop baiting or challenging one poster in particular continued to have little respect for others views and just continued....extending also into a challenge of a board guide and then on to another regular poster.
I do believe that a varied array of topics can and should be discussed on the thread...I have said many times that I think a healthy debate can be constructive and a lot can be learned from both sides...however if a topic is controversial and some posters feel the need to express their concern I think that actually the topic should then be dropped.
Yes there are topics that people can and do just gloss over but if someone justifiably says they are offended then their feeling should be considered and perhaps move on from that subject.
Where I really do have a strong view is on the personal attacks that one particular poster seems to make on another regarding a drunken or sober analogy of them...and yes if I have read any post that has been made by MatthewS towards FC in that manner I have reported it and will continue to do so.
This thread is open to all contributors and not a closed thread only read by a few ....some have very blinkered views or seem to adopt the stance of there is only one right person who can express a view....open your eyes and learn that you are not always the only one with a view and as such the thread shouldn't just contain your musings ....
If you still feel passionate about the subject after being reminded something might cause offence...take it to a PM
Now who does that remind me of...? :rotfl:0 -

How's the robin doing Marmite? I've been watching the Norwich peregrines since it was posted on here a couple of weeks ago and I have just seen them both together for the first time.0

Talking about marmite, I found some absolutely gorgeous fruit jelly in the back of my cupboard, I obviously made it some years ago and it had been forgotten about. It was lovely with some age on it but it seems to be the only one left
If only I could actually tell if it was blackcurrant (most likely) or blackberry I would make some more. Problem is my blackcurrant bush was having problems so I removed all the dead wood. If is like a new bush but does not produce enough to make something like that at the moment. However, I feel some redcurrant jelly making coming on this year, and that will be placed at the back of the cupboard marked do not open for several years

Not yet, not made jelly yet. We mostly make wine with itHave to admit the wine is gorgeous but we seem to have an overabundance of it at the moment.
