Speaking of Party Footballs, I think I'm thinking about them because we've just consumed another pack:eek:. But I did bring them out to be consumed after buying an additional pack yesterday when I was checking again their real price (just to make sure it hadn't suddenly gone up between one day and the next). I just couldn't pretend that 10p was not a price I wanted and pretend I'd changed my mind about apparently wanting to buy the item, so I ended up just buying them.
I check the real prices as my list is supposed to help people find out what to buy and to know what items are 10p (or 25p/40p etc.) in M. I think no-one here knew about the items that are 10p until I posted the items I'd found - except for the Go Ahead Orange Slices that I knew nothing about:rotfl:. The Chocolate Biscuits Selection, which I managed to buy out of Winsford store, was a chance find indeed after I stumbled upon a SEL without stock in another store. I think I was very lucky to find that SEL, which was at risk of being removed. The Belvita Forest Fruit was also pure luck - although I have not seen anything at all about the product since. I checked an 'unusual' flavour of Belvita the other day - sadly it was £2.75 - good try though - there wasn't any SEL for that particular one in the store. I found it again at my very next store:doh: - complete with full £2.75 label:rotfl:. So, I needn't have got to checking at the till after all - but I didn't know that I would find it anywhere else.
The reason why, elsewhere, I check some real prices when I am sometimes still in doubt about whether I'm seeing correct SELs or not - or have conflicting SELs even within the same store - is because, even if I may have a few incorrect SELs (or potentially incorrect), there may be no problem at all in the price comparison stores and they could - probably will - compare correctly on those schemes (particular as, in the case of the APG, they generally check more stores than me on a price check day). A few odd SELs here and there does not usually make them more problematic generally (e.g. for the price comparisons). However, I do mention issues that I have where I think there may be a more general problem.
Even I don't get them to compare correctly all the time though. With the Steak Bakes mbuy, I even waited and delayed my shop for two weeks, just to try to make sure that Ms more generally, which I had not seen - I haven't seen the majority of Ms! - would have been likely by then to have put the offer signage up. Even then, the APG missed the mbuy as, it seems, they did not.
Still having a problem on the frozen pies. Whilst two out of three of my local stores are now showing the offer, there are more Ms elsewhere that are not. I've now had two further ones with just the £2 price on the shelf:(. I don't think their chance of picking up the mbuy is any good, especially if one of the pies fails to pick up an M price or is being regarded as non-comparable, as happened a number of weeks ago. The mbuys were quite of a continual fixture until recently (in stores I happened to visit at times at which I was there), when they started to disappear probably around two months ago - when the products may have briefly gone up to straight full price - I was never sure:rotfl: - but some stores have not had them showing at different times and it's a continual pain. I didn't have any clue whether they were on mbuy or not - I eventually had to have them checked at the till (the problem on the SELs that bad for me) and they were on mbuy this week. Perhaps the APG has none of these stores and has only ones that say 2 for £3, perhaps it is just the ones I've visited that aren't showing it (and maybe others but none of which the APG has). So maybe there's no issue at all with them - and yet I have it only because of the stores I've seen.
The Chicken Grills (own brand 4 pack) also lost their mbuy from the signage in a couple of Ms for me some time earlier. They apparently(:rotfl: - I never fully established whether it was the case or not) continued on mbuy throughout and there was no point at which they were not really 2 for £3. That's the conclusion I reached about them anyway, whether it was correct or not. However, they have been pretty more consistent 2 for £3 showing across stores, at least for me, more recently than that blip of several months before.0 -

I can't believe I fell for it like a muggle
- 4 for £2 H3inz soup in A, bought lots only to find the multi did not come off
It wouldn't be so bad but in two other stores earlier they were 95p each and no promo Sel or displays, but this store had it clearly showing in a number of places.
Not to worry, the helpful CS desk refunded me and gave me a £2 card for my trouble.
 Wonders out loud what the APG will show following the refund?
Unfortunate for all the juggles in this store who have been buying at full price today.
