    DTD in T's. McVitie's Victoria 100G

    Okay, you lot have got me to go out today. And I have given them real cash:mad::(. I'm overpaying again a bit, but, still, it's not too bad.

    I went to T to have a look for the McVities Victoria Selection that, although it is a third of the weight of the 10p Biscuit Selection in M, would I hope work out far better. Unfortunately it had £1 on the SEL in my T:(. I think that 75p price increase works out £2.25 more expensive:eek:.

    So that was a no-go. In fact this thread was half-responsible for getting me to go to T and my family member rang wanting to be picked up so, had both not happened, I won't have bothered - it was going to be a day in. I stopped at a bigger T on the way back. My other T (yes I have two Ts reasonably available to me:D), nearer to my home, had no SEL and anyway didn't have the product at all:(.

    Instead I also went to look for the 24 pack Birds Eye Crispy Dippers. And, in among the 28 pack at expensive SEL, were a couple of packs of 24:T:T. I checked at the till and sadly not 50p at T but 82p instead. Still alright though, so I bought them. I could have held on for them and hoped that they would go down more later and that I could then find them still there then. There was no SEL for them either, so maybe that would have been good. However, obviously it's risking them going, even if I put them right at the bottom of the freezer compartment, and I might have got back and found them gone completely. Which they now are in my store as I have bought them:rotfl:.

    :eek:It's quite a lot more expensive than A and S. 32p extra per pack! I managed only to find one in A several weeks ago - which was in the wrong place. Of course my S more recently had no trace whatsoever when I went to check (thanks bubbs for alerting me to that). So I've managed to end up with three - and a bit more expensive from T. Someone will post next week and tell me that they've gone down to 50p in T - but, if so, never mind! At least it's a lot better than 12 packs at regular £1 offers:eek:!

    Birds Eye Crispy Dippers (24 per pack) - 82p in T.

    So - I was lied to again:rotfl::

    Birds Eye Crispy Chicken Dippers (24 per pack - 440g)

    I've even left the "Today's best prices" in as, clearly, today, for me, it was not true!

    A little red cross there - no, it was not "love":rotfl: - as it's not really msm's fault - as the system can only go by what is sold through online. Which is, usually, far worse prices than anything instore on clearance:rotfl:. In fact, just doing a bit of the M list update earlier and I think only one item in this update so far has been on msm at the same price as me. Nearly all the rest are showing "---" for M on msm or are showing a much higher price before it went OOS online because the items have gone onto RTC instore. Sometimes, the RTCs are online (and on msm), like the Wkd Blue can earlier, but most of them, it seems, are not. I've just had a row of about eight items and none of them are on msm - and I've another three or four now that very likely aren't going to be on there as I'm now moving onto the RTC Strathmore waters. In fact, I've now turned over to the next page and I don't see much of what I have on there as being on msm - the Freddo selection won't be on there:rotfl: and I suspect this other product I've got (some Porridge) might not be on there either - or another one or - definitely not that one, but, anyway... Is Buxton Sparkling 6 pack at £1.62 RTC going to be on msm?:think: Anyway...:rotfl::rotfl:

    I've never come across the Birds Eye 24 Dippers on RTC in M. I must remember to turn the freezers upside down and search for products in the absence of any SELs - or even any indication that they are there - next time. If anyone does find them - don't do a special trip! - then well done!:)

    I wouldn't do a special trip to look for them to T either. I also went there to buy one of my regular expensive everyday items again:rotfl:. Although in fact, having found the Biscuits Selection at the correct price:mad::p:rotfl:, I left that off to buy my regular item in the next store, in case I needed to disguise a little the fact that I'd just gone for the Biscuits. The Dippers, although at 82p:eek::rotfl:, may in fact be money-saving for someone that only has T available to them (as T does have more stores nationwide) and has no A or S. Of course it depends on the luck(?) of being able to find them in your T - or you may have no 50p ones ever in your A/S.
