PPI success, but on DMP

Hi,
I would like some advice.
I have been on a DMP for 3 - 4 which is managed for me by pay plan.. I have very recently been successful in claiming ppi and have been issued a cheque by Barclays, who are NOT one of the creditors.
My problem is this. When I entered my DMP, Barclays would not open me a basic current account and I was left with no choice but to do so with my bank, who is one of my creditors.
I am concerned about paying the cheque into my account. It is for more than I owe my bank, but I used a company and have to pay them a fee out of the monies I have been awarded.. This will leave me with an amount less than I owe my bank, but not sufficient at all to pay off them or my other creditors..
I am trying to open an alternative account to cash the cheque, but cannot open a current account due to credit score, so have once again applied for a Barclays basic current account.. If this is not successful, my only option is to try a savers account or cash the cheque somewhere and I know they will take a substantial amount for the privilege..
I am not trying to avoid paying my creditors.. But the money I've been paid back is desperately needed to find a home.. I'm back home temporarily with my parents having previously had to sell my house, which got me into this financial mess to start with..
Does anyone have any experience of this situation, or advice / suggestions..
Thank you in advance

You should never have used a Claims Company in your position. If the money is swallowed up by being offset by your creditor, then you will still owe the company their cut.0
