Student Account - Electoral Roll

Hi,
I keep getting rejected from any student account Im trying to open up (with the overdraft). I have nothing bad against my credit and Ive looked on my credit report and cannot see anything bad.

Does anyone know that not being on the electoral roll is affecting me?

Comments

  • Hi,

I'm working for my local council at the moment, updating the electoral roll so this is where my information comes from. Yes the electoral roll is used in credit checks so it could be affecting your application. Also you are legally required to be on the electoral roll (up to £1000 fine) so get yourself added at your home and/or university address. Just contact your local council. Good luck with the student account.
