Halifax Credit Card Lloyds Banking Group Section 75 Slow

So its been over 2 Weeks since I sent the required Information to Claims Team. Today I received this email.

"
I have checked with management and your file is still under review and hope to have a decision to you by next week.

Should you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to Is contact us."

Really not happy about the amount of time they are taking. Is there anything further I should do at this stage ?

Just over 4 week Since I first made Lloyds aware of the case.

4 weeks is nothing! It took us about 3 months to get our first response from Santander.

Would you prefer a prompt rejection? When paying from their own pocket they, understandably, don't want to jump to conclusions.

Why S75, not a chargeback that is simpler and is likely to be faster?

You do know after 8 weeks you can go to the financial ombudsman.

Reason why it is section 75 is the Amount is more than we paid on the credit card.

You can go to the FOS but they'll allow the Section 75 process to complete before getting involved.

In this case you really can't expect the CC company to pay easily.

I beleive, S75 claims, unlike chargeback, are outside of the FOS jurisdiction.

They should stop ruling on S75 then.

    I stand corrected then.
However, I think banks can disregard FOS ruling as FOS isn't a court and S75 is about legal liabilities. Similarly, a customer can sue the CC provider if FOS doesn't upheld the complaint.

TBH, I am surprised how easily FOS keeps telling "the credit card providers to refund" customers.

Imagine how that would look if a Bank disregarded a FOS ruling.

I don't plan on using them anyway they seem so backed up I got more than enough evidence and will just go Small Claims Route pretty soon if I get no Joy with Lloyds.
