    Just spoke to a gentleman on the support line. Very odd, his system said it was issued on the 17th and doesn't think its in security checks. Said there had been a problem with the payment system. They are investigating why it's taking mine so long. Seems nonsense to me.

    Madness ain!!!8217;t it...I was saying to my mrs the other day I don!!!8217;t think they actually work for HMRC themselves I believe there a generic call centre taking the over flowing calls and they only have access to limited system info...my
    Father inlaw is a Tax inspector and even he says they shouldn!!!8217;t be in security checks this long it!!!8217;s usually 1-2 days so he thinks there!!!8217;s a huge back log (not enough staff)

    Called again and it!!!8217;s back to June 13th plus 5 days.

    AS A tax inspector he will be aware of the staff cuts that have been made in HMRC staff numbers and that this is the busiest time of year when so many returns have been submitted leading to a large number fo repayment claims.
