Tiles on a single skin external wall?

My friend'd house, was built in the 50s by the look of it, and there is this single storey room - bit on the side of the house.
This bit has a cast concrete slab on the top for the roof, it has single skin brick walls.
Used to be some kind of shed or coal room.
Anyway there is a downstairs toilet in this bit, and they have started to put plasterboards dot and dabbed onto the walls but they have not been skimmed. and there is some mould on the plasterboards (I have not been to see the mould yet).
I am wondering if wall and floor tiles would be better than plasterboard? But would the tiles stick to an external wall?

Probably condensation caused, what's is the floor made of ?C.R.A.P.R.O.L.L.Z # 40 spanner supervisor. No problem can withstand the assault of sustained thought.Only after the last tree has been cut down. Only after the last fish has been caught. Only after the last river has been poisoned. Only then will you realize that money cannot be eaten."l! ilyë yantë ranya nar vanwë"0

Insulated plasterboard. A single skin is a direct thermal bridge to the cold outside.
The tiles will drip with condensation as they are particularly cold, and the grout will mildew.
The room needs insulation, heating and ventilation.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
