Honda crv problem - clutch and flywheel
I have a September 2014 reg'd Honda CRV 1.6.diesel, after less than 8000 miles it needs a new flywheel and clutch. It has taken Honda some 7 weeks to supply the flywheel. No one seems able to explain to me why these faults have arisen,
I had another CRV for 10 years and never had to replace these parts (in fact I have never had to replace a clutch in any of my cars) so I would say that my driving style is not the cause of the failure. Honda will do the repairs under warranty.
I do not tow anything and the car does a mixture of motorway and city miles.
Has anyone else had similar problems with this version of the CRV/Does anyone know if it is going to be a recurring problem?

What symptoms did you have with the damaged / worn clutch & flywheel?
Was your last CRV a diesel with a dual mass flywheel?All your base are belong to us.0 -
There was very slight clutch judder when starting from cold, occasional over revving when doing a hill start, it took me some time to convince the service reception staff there was something amiss - there was a patronising suggestion that perhaps I was not used to driving a Honda! My previous CRV was also diesel with dmf0

The clutch DMF issue is common with the Honda 2.2 diesels. I've just had them changed on my civic, although this has done 135k miles.0

Seconded. My Civic 2.2 had the clutch fully eaten up by 40k miles.
Known issue, look on the civinfo forums...0 -
Rumour has it though once replaced it shouldnt go again for a while... I had mine done at A1 Clutches and got a 2 year guarantee on it, but will hopefully change the car before then...0
