:) Thanks, absolutely spot on I think. My friend called earlier and stressed the same, don't pull out of the sale. All our stuff can easily get stored, no problem. Yes we're looking at 2 bed places too. There are one or two holiday lets that I can find but they're in awkward locations.

And yes, rentals in Glasgow are going quickly, I really do appreciate that now! I'm north, and looking to buy (and rent for now) around east dunbartonshire. So Torrance, Bearsden, Lenzie, Bishopbriggs. We've also looked at houses down the nice parts of the southside but will see how things go.

I feel a bit calmer now thanks. I've asked my solicitor to put a delayed entry date to the buyers and pay them some compensation. If they kick up stink and don't accept it we'll move out at the end of this month and just find a way!

I would definitely say sell; at least then you won't have the hassle of selling when you do find a place to buy. And you will be able to move quicker as you won't have a property to sell
Good Luck and let us know how you get on

Ah Glasgowdan, I remember you posting on about the loft conversion on the house you were thinking of buying, we are in Kirkintilloch.

Stay positive, our purchase did fall though and we carried on with the sale and moved into rented. A few months later, in rented accommodation we realised we would have been making quite a few compromises on the house were were looking to buy and actually were really happy it fell through!!

We ended up buying much bigger and better (and expensive!)

It was not meant to be and better things will come your way! Keep us posted!

Cheers. Feeling a bit better now. I've come to terms with just getting out of our house. The hard part was wandering about the garden in the sun looking at what we've worked for... a cheap lifestyle in a lovely wee home, and then asking myself why leave it!

The move is to invest our money and get something bigger, detached and hopefully more spacious for a lifetime family home. There are a couple of rentals on the market that I'm going to see asap, and a couple of houses for sale that we're keen on too.

Ellie, I'd happily move to Kirky too, we're just in Torrance. Keen to stay nearby if possible, good schoolsm countryside, easy cycle to Glasgow for my Wife's work, and just that nice feel to east dunbartonshire :)
