You may find the house-buying process unbearable. There will be hours, days or weeks of unknowns where lots of balls are up in the air, over which you have little influence. Then they'll all be caught in quick succession.
Examples include waiting for answers to queries, waiting for offers to be accepted, waiting for search results to come back, waiting for a mortgage to be approved....0 -

Home buying is stressful to Neurotypicals so if you have a child that has ASD you will appreciate we deal with things differently, if you don't then I feel sorry for your 20 year old (not being rude).
And they say we don't have empathy
I can't think of (m)any posters on here who have shown the single bl00dy-minded care, devotion and determination to care for her family than Deanna has, in the face of a pretty uncaring environment. Nope. Still thinking.... still no... um... still nope!0 -

What's complicated?
Life is unpredictable. I really don't think this is the property for you if you're already in a state before the process has even started.
Saying that would any property purchase be....0 -
I'm sure cantgoonhols is perfectly capable of looking after herself. If she hadn't said she was ASD, would anyone have taken her comments as more than venting?
Anyone who's found their dream house fears being disappointed and looks for ways to prevent that, and keep everything running smoothly. She hasn't said anything about being stressed by waiting (which is what's slaying neurotypical little me, right now!); just that she likes to know all the details - perfect attitude for someone buying a house! How often do people on here berate those who don't pay attention to the details and come back to complain that they didn't realise it wasn't their parking space / the lease was short / the damp was worse than they thought?Mortgage

Have you used a mortgage broker? A good mortgage broker that is exposed to a good number of mortgage lenders should know which lenders would lend for that property type. You can also get a mortgage in principle that would add more certainty on whether a lender will lend to you knowing the type of property you want to buy.
I think getting a good mortgage broker would be helpful.0
