WARNING - K9-Rescue debt collection email scam

I have just checked my email and found a debt collection email asking for a sum of money. It went straight to my SPAM.
It is from an organisation who claims to be a debt collection company called K9-RESCUE. However, when I Google them, it only brings up a dog related website.
There is a link in the email and of course, I have not clicked on it, but some how the email is addressed to me using my full name and claiming that it will send me an invoice to my address which is mentioned in the email!
They are collecting on behalf of a components/parts company based in Derby. Of course, there was no contact number in the email for the scammers so I looked up the company in Derby. They advised me that it was a scam and they are getting alot of calls regarding the matter and they have involved the police.
The alarming things for me was how they got my address as I do not frivolously input my data on any websites and two, I am completely debt free so anyone asking for money especially a three figure amount is alien to me because I pay all my credit card balances in full every month.
Has anyone else had such an email I do not want to name the company these con artists claim to be collecting for because it is not fair on them.
Thanks for reading...
