Hi All, I had a default placed on me by a payday company, I challenged it as the dates and information was incorrect. I challenged it via experian who have confirmed the default has now been removed fully from my credit file as they provided incorrect information
it shows If you bug and moan enough these people will do what it takes to get rid of you.

Well done advertising the fact you had a payday loan then didn't pay it back. You must be so proud.0

So you still have the Santander (NewDay) default then?0

They did what they did as the dates listed were wrong but not to get rid of you.0 -
All they need to do is correct the dates and place it back on your file.0

they are legally not allowed to register the same default twice. if they did I would challenge it again with the FOS0 -

Yep my ever raging battle with Santander and these companies are still going on.
I have SAR them, I highly doubt they hold my information. I'll keep you guys posted.0 -

Might want to check that. It isn't registered twice, they can remove it to update the information to be correct then re-register it.
How else do you think debt collection agencies can re-register defaulted debts from the original creditor to their name?
Two defaults for the same debt cannot exist, but they can remove it to update info then re-apply it - it's the same default.0 -

I checked all credit reports all entries for it have been removed. no secondary entries.
I'd add I also have a challenge in against the payday loans company to remove the default so it may have been influenced by them I don't know.0 -
If I were you I'd keep an eye on it, in case they put it back on.0
