Thanks for all your suggestions. It happened at the hairdressers so I haven't got any hair dye! The hairdresser gave me some cotton wool with something on (it smelt a bit like nail varnish remover) and this lightened it a bit. I can't find any nail varnish remover and Im sure we had some but I will try all the suggestions until something works and let you know! Thanks everyone!

i was told by a L'Oreal cust adv (after the gloves had little pin p***k holes in the thumbs!) to use alcoholic spirits, i always stick to the vodka as it doesn't smell !!

My new hairdresser also told me that the dye itself will rub off any colour that has stryayed !

3 of us posted the same thing at the same time !!

That made me smile that the forum wouldn't let you type !!!!!. It made me want to type it too!

Simple things please simple minds I guess!

I work in a hairdressers for awhile and we were always told use shampoo neat and it always worked.beerchug.gif
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Well I gave all the suggestions a try! I had a little blotch of dye on my neck under my chin and this came off with make-up remover but the streak on my face wouldn't budge no matter what I put on it (even paint stripper!). I then realised that because the streak was right next to my hairline that it was a hairy part of my face (although you usually can't see the hairs because they are usually very pale) and it occurred to me that it was these hairs that were dyed and not necessarily my skin.

So I got out some small waxing strips and attacked the stain with these. The brown streak came out straight away! My skin is a little red where I did this but it isn't very noticeable and it will soon be back to normal!

    Thanks for all your replies!

Please don't abuse your skin with harsh cleaners, I did that once and was left with a nasty rash that looked far worse than the dye ever did. I know that dye splashes look horrible but honestly they will fade very quickly just with normal face washing.
