Changing to plusnet's better current package

Hi
I currently pay £19.99 + 16.99 Line rental for Plusnet unlimited fibre
I realize that's a high end package and I'm happy with plusnets service so far. I'm quite a heavy user and do a few strange techy things at home and find plusnet less restrictive than some previous providers.
However on their website plusnet are currently offering there "plusnet unlimited fibre extra" for the same prices i am currently paying. This is the slightly better up to 76MB package. I had hoped it may just be a case of phoning up and asking to be changed onto this package (possibly restarting my tie-in period).
However when I phoned up they said i was tied into contract until November and I wouldn't be able to change my product until then.
Is there anything i can do to get out of that?

No, because that's the minimum term you agreed. The website offer is to attract new customers. Wait until a month before the end of your minimum term and then you will be in a position to cut a retention deal.
You should be able to upgrade to the faster speed now if available, but you won't get it at the 'new customer' rate.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
yeah, that's unfortunate
there is actually an opening offer aswell of £10 per month, and i wasnt expecting to be able to get that as that is clearly a new customer offer.0 -
I'm surprised they won't allow you "upgrade" and start a nee contract. I know BT allow this.0
