Internal wood stain/wax

Would anyone have suggestions on which wood stain/wax product to use on internal 1930s internal picture rails, skirting boards, door frame/doors?

I stripped the timber back to the bare timber, then applied linseed oil to some of the skirting board. However, it looks very orange in appearance.

A light, medium or antique oak colour would possibly be nice. Should I use an oil or water based product? Or perhaps a wax?

I noticed this product, though there are many different products available on eBay:
