By Thursday I would imagine and at that point they will instruct the valuation (assuming it has not already been carried out).

Assuming the valuation come back ok, the offer would normally be issued 48-72 hours after the survey has been carried out.

Speak to your broker, thats what they are there for. They should really be giving you the timescales without you needing to ask, but you should go off what they say.

  • Thanks ACG. We are in Scotland so the valuation is done as part of the home report.

My MA is on holiday this week and I have been speaking to someone else in their office but just wanted a second opinion.

    Appreciate your response.

I do not do north of the border, but I would assume your offer will be issued by Thursday then, potentially tomorrow but if you go with Thursday at least it may stop you checking your emails every 2 minutes for 1 day at least :P

Im sure you will be fine, I have never known a case to get this far down the line and then get declined. I was in their offices a week last friday and their underwriters are all normal people and quite a happy bunch.

This is their criteria. Aldermore and new builds are not a great mix, you should double check about the incentives. Their criteria seems to change on that front.
Applications from individuals that are employed on a contract basis are acceptable subject to the following:

The current contract must be for a period of at least 6 months

If the contract has more than 6 months to run the applicant must have been employed for a minimum of 12 months in
    the same line of work

If the contract has less than 6 months to run the applicant must have a 2 year track record of employment within the
    same line of work

It is acceptable for applicants to be paid via an umbrella company, which pays tax and NI for the applicant

Original or certified copies of the current and previous contracts will be required to confirm that contract period
    meets criteri

I hope you don't mind me jumping on... but regarding Aldermore, what are their checks like RE: payslips? I know Natwest is 6 months... Santander 3 months... etc. My partner has only been at his current job 3 months and it's causing an issue with some lenders so I wondered if maybe Aldermore would be suitable???
  • Thanks for the reply, will definitely check it out

    Hi

I had to provide 3 months payslips and my most recent p60. My partner is self employed and he had to provide 2 years minimum accounts.

Congratulations. I did think it would be today but I always bang on a extra day just to be on the safe side. Under promise and over deliver as they say.
