Santander Regular Saver

I've looked on their website but can't find the answer so hoping one of you lovely people all know. My husband and I have a joint Santander 123 account (he also holds one of their other accounts). I'd like for us each to open one of their regular e saver accounts (at 5% interest). It states that they can only be sole (you can't have a joint regular esaver) and it must be funded from a santander current account. But can we open 2 individual regular esavers from our one joint 123 account?
Or 1 in my name funded from the joint account and one in his funded from his other account.

That should be fine, in any case it's worth contacting them and applying and if they see a problem you wouldn't be able to progress.
Applications aren't being taken online as yet so it requires a phone call or a branch visit to do in any case.0 -

Spent 35 minutes on hold to these guys yesterday trying to sign up for one of these accounts. Gave up waiting for someone to pick up. One day I'll get one!0

I was on hold for 30 minutes yesterday afternoon too - I'm going to try first thing tomorrow morning0

I tried to make an appointment with my local branch last week to open one and the earliest appointment they had was 11 April!!
I said I'd ring instead but I don't fancy hanging on the phone for 30 minutes or more. Why can't we sign up online, I wonder, it would be much easier alround?0 -
Seems bizarre that it is a regular "E" save but can't set up online0

Try using the Santander select number instead of the number given on the website, straight through no probs0

Getting the IT funding for a loss leader sold through a distribution channel that can't cross-sell effectively might be the reason.I said I'd ring instead but I don't fancy hanging on the phone for 30 minutes or more. Why can't we sign up online, I wonder, it would be much easier alround?0 -
