Hi
Accord look the best option for my re-mortgage.
I am assuming they are fine unless anyone knows a reason why I should avoid them?
Thanks

is it the best for you in your situation?
that is what matters more than the cheapest rates"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

Thanks - it wasn't not so much the rate I was concerned about. I'm happy enough with that but its not a name I am too familiar with.

I would buy a wig for the hairline and a blood pressure monitor to keep an eye on the the blood pressure.
Accord are 1 of 2 lenders I refuse to use, which is saying something when you see how bad some of the lenders are.
Personally I would rather not do the business than use them, life is too short. Chances are if you use them sods law will dictate it flies through but I gave them a few attempts and everyone just seemed overly painful. Also take a look a the SVR. You may not be worried about it now, but what happens if your circumstances change and you are stuck with them.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. They lend through brokers and have been going a long time, I quite like them as I find them efficient and competitive. They are a subsidiary of Yorkshire building society who are the UKs second largest BS. You will be fine with Accord but I've not used them in a while so I don't know how fast they are presentlyI am a Mortgage Adviser

Thanks to this site and the brokers on here I am on the ball with what I need to do and will have 3 months to compete the re-mortgage so I would like to think it shouldn't take that long and end up being a smooth process.....time will tell!
I did notice the SVR and that could be an issue later down the line as we would like to start a family ion the next 2 years (so might not actually happen within that timeframe) and its only me on the mortgage so I might be restricted to fewer lenders on the next re-mortgage when they take into account dependents.
I'm only guessing but id imagine that would reduce my borrowing capacity but about 15-20% which could make things interesting....Scoops

I first used them a couple of times about 2 years ago. I then gave them another try (glutten for punishment) about 6-7 months ago and they were still just as painful.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Could you make overpayments now to reduce the balance as much as possible before you have sproglets?I am a Mortgage Adviser
