  • im not a hot headed person, I didn't plan to lose my head at all. I was frustrated as he wasn't interested in anything other than presenting his "facts". Without foundation or proof.

It was all very amicable by the end anyway and it was at that stage i asked what next, he said nothing, I believe you. He gave me some advice regarding dealing with the person and made very clear that i made it clear that it wasnt him that gave me the name so clearly I was bang on the money when I claimed it was malicious and told them who it was.

As I said, pre-prepared statement and then no-comment.

Yes, live and learn. I've nothing to hide so what will be will be now. He did seem sincere though when he said no further action and even apologised for the level of frustration he caused me, especially trying to tell me my son wasnt allowed to have 6k savings in my name without doing his homework, he thought he was a child not a 28yr old non dependant. That did cause quite an argument when he went down the overpayment due to savings route.

He gave me some sound advice anyway when I asked and suggested that I put it into trust for him to avoid confusion. There was nothing wrong with it being in my name as Im not the beneficiary even though in the eyes of the law it may look like I "own" it.

There is no need for "no comment " as it is not an IUC.

Lots of people kick off at the benefits office, for various reasons but mainly frustration. They do not have the resources for a grudge and to make your life a misery.

On another note, if you need support as a carer there are groups out there that can help.
  • Thank you dippy3103, NYM and Guest101 for your input, all appreciated. Hopefully an end to the matter, im no longer concerned at it was all nonsense made up by a personal assistant I employed under direct payments to care for him 8 hrs a week paid for by direct payments who lost her job as she wasn't doing it properly. I told them all this and even proved it as i took her contract of employment and dismissal letter with me. They can do what they like now as there are no legs in any of the accusations. Take care and thanks.
