Moving Flu and Water Meter - Help

Just after a bit of advice please.
Looking into putting on an extension to my kitchen. So far I have had one builder round and am waiting for another couple.
One question I have is that currently I have a combi boiler in my kitchen with the flu just above the kitchen window. I want to knock down the wall the window is part of but the builder has said that I have to leave a certain amount of space between the flu and the new wall.
How difficult would it me to move the flu?
I also have a water meter situated underneath the decking in my garden. Ideally I would need to move this too (there is a shared passageway next to the house it could be diverted to I think). Again, any idea on coatings to get this done?
Thanks

Moving a flue should only be done by a Registered Gas Installer (RGI). The make/model and location of the boiler will determine how much work is involved. But for your own healthy sake, use a Gas Safe Registered engineer, the flue carries the poisonous fumes from the combustion process to outside, which includes Carbon Monoxide, it's not worth the risk doing it yourself.
As for the meter. I'm guessing they will be trenching for the extension, so the builder should be able to advise on this one. It really depends on distance and current routes of pipework. It's rare to find a meter under decking, normally this will be street side allowing the water board to access?0
