Passport query

Hi all,
I need to fill in a form for work regarding travel and it's asking for my UK passport details.
I've managed to fill them all in except 1..
it is asking for "Passport Place issued (city/state)" followed by "Passport place issued (country)"
So I've done the country, UK but I have no idea of the place issued (city/state) - any ideas? I renewed my passport few years back and tbh i don't remember how I renewed it i.e if I went to a passport office or if I did it by post.. just don't remember..
Any ideas how I can find out?
Thanks!

I've never had city/state on forms that I've filled in about my passport. It's normally UKPA (UK Passport Authority) & UK. I don't have my passport to hand but from memory they're the options.
Perhaps you need to clarify with whoever gave you the form.0 -
I would say its not applicable0

They used to show place of issue on passports but haven't for years. I would imagine they haven't updated the form for some years.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

My (now what is an old) passport has LONDON as the authority which means place of issue.:footie:

How about using a NFC mobile phone and reading the chip using a passport reader app?
The information also appears on the chip.
Not sure about the newest passports though but no harm in trying.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)

They have not shown 'place of issue' since at least 1998.The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0

The acronym used for issuing authority has changed over the years. It's gone from UKPA to IPS and most recently (last few months) I've seen HMPO. Good to know the Dept for Renaming Govt Agencies is still gainfully employed...
For the OP, whenever I've had forms with this field (more common in forms issued by other countries), I just put in the issuing authority acronym as per my passport. That way it would always match with any check. I've never had an issue doing this, though I don't know how much they've checked it either0 -
Thanks all, i put UK so lets hope its ok!0
