How do you prepare your family for your midlife crisis?

Are you still going to Glastonbury and getting down with the yoof?
Have you taken up playing the guitar?
Is said guitar resting on a high waisted pair of jeans a la Clarkson?
Flirting embarrassingly with women who are far too young for you?
Be afraid. Be very afraid.
Head for that garden centre and embrace your inner fogey before it's too late. Pipe. Braces. Slippers. Before your wife picks up on your midlife vibe, goes one better and legs it with a toyboyAll shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
I dont shout at the kids either, but wifey does and she complains about drafts. She might be having a midlife crisis as well!
Oh no, if she was having a mid-life crisis, you would all be moaning about the drafts as she goes around the house opening all of the windows lol!
Spinkz...have you thought about getting a man-shed? You can retreat to your own personal space whilst pondering all of the things that you want to do with your life (growing silly goatee beard, wearing age-inappropriate clothes, taking up yoga etc, etc)
It could the be answer to your prayers!"I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"0 -
I am going to fekk off on a trip on my own.
Now that is great, but terrifying the life out a me too!
But then again people are very kind to mid lifers and older codgers. I hope.0 -
I decided not to prepare Spinkzy muuuch better to unleash the fun I find.0

I knew I wanted a certain car, so my fiendish and cunning plan consisted of offering to take Wife's eco, euro crap box for a service, but instead traded it in for a 2 seater sports car. I invited her to sit in the new car whilst her "service paperwork was completed" after 10 mins the sales women said you do realise that this is now your car madam. resulting in a very happy wife and zero complaints when I came home in my car.0
