Asestos Garage Removal

We need to get a garage demolished and taken away that we've been informed has asbestos in the roof tiles and the walls. The walls are in big slabs (is that pre-fab?) and it's a pretty small garage - built in the 40's for small cars! What kind of cost should we expect for the removal of something like that and where should we look? The council won't touch it.

No idea of cost, just search online for approved companies that do asbestos removal in your area and ask for a quote but IMO it will not be cheap.0

Have you considered removing it yourself? I realise that asbestos is some nasty stuff, but the HSE have some very thorough guidance on the safety precautions to consider if removing it yourself. We also have a nasty sectional concrete garage with a leaky asbestos cement tile roof to be removed at some point!0
