Parking in a 'Restricted Street' - HELP

Hi all,


Yesterday, I parked on a single yellow line on a street. When I returned, I saw a parking ticket which says:


01 - Parked in a restricted street during prescribed hours


Now, I did a bit of googling and worked out that this usually refers to parking in a controlled area, which I can now see is on google maps on the other entrance to the street. The regulations says they must put up signs at the entrance to the controlled zone. However, I came in through the entrance that didn't have the sign.


Is this a valid grounds of appeal?

as this is a council pcn you would be better off posting over on pepipoo forums and add redacted copies of both sides of the paperwork
