Settling old debts

Hello
I have two debts resulting from student credit cards from over ten years ago. They were both £500 limits are I was reckless. I left them at the limit, moved address a few times and forgot about them.
Obviously they both defaulted. One is now a charging order on my house and the other is a three year old ccj. I understand the way this happened and how the companies go for the ccj as the default is due to drop. A little aggrieved as to how the paperwork has been conveniently sent through addresses I spent nine months at despite them must knowing I have had a mortgage for 8 years...
Anyhow, I owe the money, interest and charges and I want to get rid and am in a position to do so. I know the remaining one will be with me for three more years but just want both settled.
I know both accounts are held with Lowell (from speaking to Northampton and land registry).
My question is...
What is the best way to approach repayment. I read bad things about Lowell and Bryan Carter on here and want to be sure I pay the debts and they are gone.
Is it best to go through Capital One and Barclaycard or will they not be interested?
Any advice/experience welcome
Cheers

You need to approach whoever now owns the debt. Doesn't matter what you read about people. They are just doing their jobs. Sooner you settle the debts the sooner can you can move on.0
