Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Hi we've recently got some sculptures put up in our garden. They are a heard of deer containing 1 stag, 2 doe and 4 small deer. They are made our steel and flat faced

Basically im asking for ideas of what we could called the scene to put on a plack. Don't want to call it just heard of deer want something a bit inspirational.

Much appreciated for any replies !!

Whatever you do, don't call it 'Heard of Deer'. Every pedant in the neighbourhood will be round to point and laugh. (And write on online pedant forums: No! I've never heard of deer, but at least now I know what they look like, dear.)

I think it would be better putting it on a plaque, too, rather than a plack . . .
I want my sun-drenched, wind-swept Ingrid Bergman kiss, Not in the next life, I want it in this, I want it in this

Use your imagination, or you can borrow mine!

    "Heard of deer?"
    "Yes, it cost a bomb!"
"Do you think it will rain, dear?"

What part of the country are you in - I'm thinking Fiadh in Scottish Gaelic or Ceirw in Welsh. I also like Rangale.

Does it even need a plaque? Why not just have them there without signage? If it's not obvious what they are, well, take it up with the sculptor, and just let it be a piece of abstract art - let people decide what it is and enjoy it.

Totally agree. It sounds to me like that awful signage one sees in homes, like "Bathe" in the bathroom and "Love" over the bed.

If you're still tempted, think about who used to say, "Can you see what it is yet?" and maybe that'll put you off the idea.....

and if you can't, ask for your money back!
