Halifax App

Options
Hi,

Anyone having problems seeing their HTB ISA in the halifax app? When I login it says my account is not compatible with online banking, even though it used to appear in the app and it appears if I view the site on a computer.

Thanks

They've temporarily removed the ability to view and manage the HTB ISA through the mobile app. As far as I'm aware, they are looking to re-introduce it but don't have a specific date.

    Are you sure about that?

I'm not sure which smartphone you have but I know from the latest update to Halifax Mobile Banking (for iOS) the HTB ISA was removed (temporarily).

One work around could be using the phone's browser and logging in that way.

Certainly, but then a Windows Phone Edge (new internet explorer) browser is in the app, its is built around such. For Apple or Android mobile versions of Safari and Chrome may not be compatible with Halifax.

Can you do it from the default browser? ie Safari or Chrome on your handset ?

That is probably why it works on Windows Phone, the app is built around a secure Microsoft Edge that only allows internal Halifax links. If you click on LBG Terms in the app for instance it opens Edge to view the page :)

Its been removed from the App currently, but you are able to view online using a computer or over the counter at any branch, or via telephone banking if you are registered.

  • I had the same issue on my android phone. Spoke to customer services and they said it's been removed and they don't know when it will be an option. Not very good service but not a lot you can do.

I see. Yes the HTB ISA does appear when visiting the mobile website.

The Windows Phone app looks like a wrapper for the mobile website rather than an actual native app. I assume it doesn't have Express Sign in (logging in using just your memorable information)?

Correct, I tried to explain it in terms others would all understand, I know exactly what you mean. If you try certain links in the banking 'app' it opens in Edge.
