Ikea track light failure

I've had an Ikea track light in my kitchen for 15 years, which suddenly won't work. I'm assuming the hefty transformer has failed, as none of the bulbs work. Is it worth even attempting to bring it back to life - and if so, how? - or should I go out and buy a new one? I normally woudn't think twice about it, but I really like the design of what I have.
The product is no longer sold, the most similar is below but mine was a popular version on a double track with a large black transformer:

The chances are that the transformer is a fairly standard type, and that a new one would be smaller than the old one.
But you'd have to find someone who is competent to dismantle it and work out how to replace the transformer. Any decent electrician should be able to do it, but you'd have to decide whether it's worth the cost.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0
