ESA medical how much have they changed

Hi everyone ,How much have these changed now ,my other half is in the supported group but has been called for a new medical but after hearing all the horror stories in the press he is really frightened.

Are they as bad as they say, how long does it take before you get your decision , is there any signs like before if they went out the room during your medical to speak to their colleges it meant you was being placed in the support group .

Also if you are dropped back into the work focussed group after being in the supported group do you go on the new reduced rate for ESA or do you stay on the old rate of ESA .

Sorry for all the questions but my oh was put in the W.F.G on the first medical , then the second medical he was put in the supported group but now it all changed and he is worried he is going to be kicked of ESA all together . Thanks
