How much the bank transfers will cost?
How can I know if you didn't say what bank it was?
Check the bank's fees and charges.
    I'd expect £10-£20
Is really transferwise the best solution? Maybe another forex dealer can offer a better deal?
Well, you have two sites that do the comparison. And you have dozens of sites (e.g. xe.com) showing the middle (interbank) rate that no broker can beat, i.e. you can see how much you lose against the best rate theoretically available.

HSBC Euro account, charge is 6 Euro for an online SEPA transfer

Barclays Euro account, 25 pounds for the same SEPA transfer if i am not mistaken.

    HSBC wins on cost.

    Stop adding extra confusion.
The money (€) is already in some UK bank. It's hardly worth opening another € account in UK and paying for transferring €€ to it.

Transferwise requires you to transfer your Euros to some Lithuanian bank with SEPA. Thus the costs i quoted will be incurred.

Yes, but you can't transfer € from the current bank to, say, HSBC, for free. It will cost the same as transferring to the "Lithuanian bank " directly.

Have a look at Transferwise thread

It would make sense to ask a question there, but MSE have a stupid policy of locking threads after a certain time of inactivity.

How the france should I know!

What about telephoning transferwise and saying something like, "Hello, it's VeryMan here. Can you tell me the process for converting 100K Euro's to pounds please?"

Please tell us how you get on.

    Edit. No, don't. Really don't.

Don't believe he was speaking to you, not a very helpful response, as you don't know then better not to comment.

    Jeez! :rotfl:

Off you go and help him get some new trousers then. :)

ps Didn't realise you were a moderator :D

I like to think a bit clueless rather than a troll, your response just seemed pointless and unhelpful.

Get yourself some new trousers, might help you get out a bit more.
