"Referal" on DIP

Hi,

could anyone help me out with the below please

I went to see a mortgage advisor who works at Bridgefords estate agents for Coutrywide.

When we did a DIP, he didn't provide me with a certified copy of the certificate, instead he gave me a piece of paper, saying how much I will be able to borrow, his name, signature.
When I sent this to an estate agent who I was discussing my offer for a house I found, they didn't accept it, as it didn't have the name of the lender and another buyer got the house instead.
My mortgage advisor was saying there is a "REFERAL" it says "R900 App 1 Address not matched at bureau" according to him "R900 is an indication the address you have given does not match with what’s on Royal Mail or the voters roll.

The mortgage advisor have been very unhelpful. Does anyone know how I can fixed this.
I want to make sure that I have a proper DIP for next time.

Many thanks

Tatiana

See a properly independent advisor rather than one who is closely associated with a particular estate agent.

Why don't you cut out the middleman and get your own DIP from a bank. Unless you have unusual circumstances, I think mortgage brokers are not necessary.

In the meantime, are you on the electoral register? If you're not sure, you can get a copy of your credit report and find out.

    Hi,

I am not that confident in deciding which lender to use to obtain the biggest borrowings.
    I am on electoral register.

OK, well as others have indicated, don't use any services sold by the EA. Although they are not supposed to, the EA will probably find out exactly how much you can afford from the broker.

Check that your Experian, Equifax and call credit reports are updated with the electoral roll information. Request statutory reports for both Experian & Equifax for £2.00. Callcredit will be available on Noddle.
