  • In an article that is linked in this thread it says that the cost of renouncing your citizenship has gone up and is now somewhere around $2,500! It would be cheaper to put my savings under the mattress!

    As Jim noted no coincidence in that number being raised when fatca came in!

    Alas, had a burglary recently. The contents insurance has a cash limit of £750, regardless of how much proof you have you had thousands.
