My neighbour's name is Myra Hindley (yes really) - she says she enters the odd comps but has never won. I say nothing!


...on the topic of names - I taught a girl called Crystal Clear! She was a lovely little girl too

A lot of universities give you an automated Uni email address based on your first and last name. They use more or less letters of your name depending on if there is already someone at the university with the same/similar names. A friend of mine actually has the last name "Comp" and her first name starts with an "S" so her Uni email is "comps14@".....luckily she doesn't enter competitions!

She did tell me about a girl at her Uni who was given a rather awkward automated email using the same method as hers. Her last name is "Finger" and her first name starts with an "M", but there was already someone with "fingerm14@" so as usual, the system switched to automatically using the first 2 letters of the first name instead "Me", so her email is.....I'll let you work it out! Not the sort of thing you want to be emailing your lecturers and tutors with!
