Purple bricks

I've had my house up for sale for over a year with a traditional estate agent, fallen through twice & overall experience not very good. Taken it off with them & now looking at others like purple bricks, has any one had any experience with them?

It's unusual for a sale to fall through due to an EA.What were the reasons?

Anecdotal evidence on here would seem to indicate that peoples views on Purple bricks and other online agents is very mixed.

A key point is that you pay whether it sells or not, unlike a traditional agent. If it hasn't sold in a year with a traditional agent, what makes you think it will shift with an online agent? Is it priced properly? If you put up a link you will get plenty of views:)
  • Reading the views I think I'll give them a miss, not keen on paying the fee even if it doesn't sell.

1st buyer pulled out just before exchanged with no reason, granted not really the agents fault. Second buyer's were 3 invester's was told by my agent that it was all going through then when I chased it up they explained that one buyers couldn't get a mortgage so that in my opinion should have checked by the agent before saying it was sold. Also just not good overall service with them.
