Just a quick one for the credit card gurus out there.
Can I have 2 cards from Virgin, Halifax, Santander, Tesco within 6 months of closing an existing card.
Especially interested in Virgin as I have a £5k credit limit on a current card with a zero balance. I really like the look of their new All Round card.

I think Tesco, Halifax and Lloyds will allow two cards. I have two with Halifax opened within a few months of each other. LBG as a whole will allow a maximum of 5 cards across the group. Barclaycard appear not to allow two any longer but some holders still do have two for when they had the policy in place. All the providers you list will allow you to reapply for an account after six months from closing. Most lenders have this policy or less (Santander not at all!).0

So I can cancel my Santander card tomorrow and get another the next day?!0 -

System wouldn't even let me start an application (was logged in at the time on the BoS site with Halifax log-in details), saying I already had another BoS issued credit card.0 -

Yes I cancelled my 123 credit card with Santander and on the same day opened a normal 15 month 0% card. This year. When I spoke to them and asked about the time in between cards the advisor rather sheepishly said they had no minimum time between applications. My experience indicates that.0

Can't explain that YB as had a HFX BT card and opened a Clarity alongside it and they gave me a good starting limit of £5k. There own terms say they will consider you for two cards at HFX and Lloyds and 5 for the whole group. Both my HFX cards show on my online banking profile.0
