Fitted Wardrobes etc

I've just moved into a new house and need fitted wardrobes in two bedrooms. I've had Hammonds and Sharps in with similar quotes but Sharps were much more professional. Now Sharps have a 20% offer ending on Sunday. However I've got Avanti and Neville Johnson coming in on Monday and Tuesday. I'm expecting Avanti to be cheaper and Neville Johnson to be more expensive. Is that fair?

I'd be very grateful for any feedback on Sharps wardrobes as I'm quite tempted to go for their offer and get that 20% off. But does anyone have views on Neville Johnson and Avanti and is it likely to be worth waiting for their estimates?

Any feedback on any of these companies very welcome.

Many thanks for your contributions.

Roger

  • There are always sales.Don't rush into it.You know they are making a good profit with 20% off.
Get all your quotes and then start negotiating.
Or just get a decent chippy to build what you want at a fraction of the price.

You will get much better quality from buying anything but Hammonds or Sharps. These sales are gimmicks.

If you are prepared to spend Hammonds money find someone selling Novamobili or Nolte Mobel.

Get one of those expensive firms to draw you up a design you're happy with, then find a local joiner to actually build and fit the wardrobes.

Probably at least half the price.
  • Avoid Hammonds. Shoddy workmanship and poor customer service. Don't believe their hype. You are definitely not paying for quality.

We got Sharps in to quote, we also got a carpenter in, his price was less than half.

Get some carpenters in to quote, show them Sharps plan.

I would recommend you to speak with this guys - Metro Wardrobes , great company. First I was looking at going with Sharps, but I decided in the end to go with Metro Wardrobes for my bespoke fitted bedroom because they was 30%-35% cheaper and same quality for materials. I was really pleased with how they turned out.
