I got a new chipped passport and ESTA linked to it in February.
Received a cancellation email with no reference number on it this morning.

Where else have you flown into ?
I'm guessing not Miami !!
I've always found US immigration to be OK - a bit short at times but they do the job efficiently and have ranged from formal to chatty. I'm not looking for a warm fuzzy experience from them though.
Even when I had the old green portion still in my passport from a previous trip (supposed to be handed in at exit but airline forgot to pull it) the scolding was mild .
Can't believe MSE are posting this a new news and not linking to the original thread.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Oops I am flying into Miami next week!
Ooops
They tend to be more "abrasive" there as it's a Mexico/Carribean/South America gateway with the attendant immigration/drugs issues. It's also incredibly busy and queues tend to be long.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
