I telephoned Post Office car insurance informing them that I did not want to re-new my policy, and was informed I had to put this in writing!!!!!! I then asked was it not possible in this day and age to send an email. I was told yes this was possible. I have searched high and low on the Post Office site to find out WHERE to send the bla**** email, but cannot find any information as to where to send it.
Honestly, do they deliberately make things difficult so they can charge you another year? I have never had to do this before. When I am sent the reminder I have always either chosen to re-new, or not take up their offer.
Can anyone please let me know WHERE to send this flaming email please?
Thank you

I would advise you put it in writing and send it recorded delivery.
I know that's old fashioned and you'd prefer email but you cannot prove your email has been received.
65p on recorded delivery will provide you with a receipt.
You can go on-line and see the date and time it was delivered and even get an electronic receipt.
This is proof that it was received by the other end.
In this situation I'd do that because it's amazing how many things go missing when it's not in the receipients interest to receive them (bills however never get lost in the post).
65p may save you a lot of hassle and they won't be able to fobb you off about it not being received.0 -
I wok for Post Office insurance and you can cancel your policy at any time over the phone as long as your the policy holder, don't know why you were informed otherwise0

Thank you both for the replies. I agree with you mackem......... I do not understand why I cannot cancel or rather not renew my policy via telephone, I have been told by two different people that I have to send in a letter!
It really is most aggravating, and I still don't have the address. When man sacrifices the Love of POWER for the Power of Love, there will be peace on earth.0
