Anyone else find Gleam and Rafflecopter annoying?

Just new to doing competitions and wondering if it's just me, I've only got a genuine facebook account which I wouldn't use for entering competitions but with Gleam and Rafflecopter they want twitter/facebook/Instagram and blog entry for something daft like a £10 book voucher.

Cheers

  • Hi Bainster1

Welcome to the world of comping!

For RC and Gleam I just log in with my competition email address as I don't have any social media accounts.

You can still visit the facebook pages links on Rafflecopter and Gleam to gain entries without being logged on to facebook.

I usually write a blog entry too but they are the only entries I do so I just miss out on the extra entries for tweeting etc.

I have never won with RC or Gleam so far though but I don't thing the odds are entirely against me so hopefully one day I will.
  • I hate RC with a passion, and almost never do them. Gleam is quicker, I don't really mind that at all.
I just enter and forget...hoping to win something! :)
  • I don't mind gleam as it automatically connects with everything. As for social media I don't actually have a personal one so I have made special comping ones and it hasn't stopped me from winning at all.

Yeah i'd considered making a twitter account just for competitions but i'm not even sure how to use twitter, same goes for Instagram.
I prefer the 'fire & forget' competitions. If I start opening up social media accounts and entering i'd be there all night:):)

I find Gleam is really easy to enter if you have a facebook and/or Twitter account and there are some really good prizes given away on it as a lot of companies use it. I really cannot stand rafflecopter as I find it takes ages to load and is too much messing about so I just skip all rafflecopter comps and it is mostly bloggers who use it anyway and they want you to jump through hoops for a minimal prize a lot of the time. I actually find Gleam quicker to enter than a lot of form filling comps sometimes

I find gleam often 'times out' whatever that means and deletes some of my entries. I also find when it has an 'enter by facebook' that often cancells out the twitter entry - go back and re-do the twitter entry and then that cancels the facebook entry. Is it just mine that does this?
