So the missus and I are looking for our first mattress together for our first place together. And we've got to get it right.
I've decided we need to go for pocket sprung, as I'm something of a thrasher during the night and the pocket springs mean less disruption for my other half.
We really only have a limited budget of around £200, which puts us at cheapie end. We've seen the odd supermarket special for under that amount, and there's Argos, but there's a few more options on bedroomworld.co.uk website. I mean, we're not talking Silent Night quality, but at least there's a few to choose from, and the reviews of the products and the sellers seems positive enough.

I wonder, could anyone take a look at let us know if any of the mattresses are known to be real pieces of crap? I think Sareer are the only company there certified by the nbf (bedfed)
Others are Halo, Superior Comfort, Memory Pedic, Dreamaway. The supermarket ones are by Airsprung - again, certified (nbf) but I can only find reviews withing the seller's website.
Thanks.

You can get a reasonable Silentnight or Sleepeeze pocket sprung for your budget but it will have to be online only sellers.0

If you know someone with a costco card these are worth a look, although non members can buy online with a 5% surcharge.

I am tempted to try the Dormeo Options Hybrid, it looks similar to the Dormeo Antigua options one in Argos but cheaper.

Yeah, I've seen some not much higher than our budget, like on Amazon, but then you read the reviews and like 20 different people all say their mattress arrived unbranded and was a cheap piece of crap, which they returned.
I understand that manufacturers make cheaper versions of their products for certain outlets, or cheaper no-brand mattresses altogether are sometimes rebranded for budget versions in certain online stores, but I'm just a bit twitchy....
I know I'll be buying online anyway, but I'd like to get some personal feedback.
I'm hoping someone on here has heard of or bought one or more of the brands listed above, as there seems to be the most choice in the £200 bracket at bedroomworld.0 -

Again, the Dormeo mattresses are a little thin on the ground review wise... like all the budget ones. I'm trying to steer clear of memory foam too - going into summer....
Holding out for someone to read this thread who's actually tried the mattresses I mentioned above.... Sareer seem to have a lot of positive reviews....0
