Hi Folks,
A few days ago I re scanned my freeview box in order to install/find the new channel 4 + 1 channel, which I now have on 13.
But since then, I no longer have my Film4 + 1 channel. It's gone, I've even tried to reinstall ALL available channels and can't get it back!
Anyone have any idea how/if I can have both Ch4+1 & Film4+1 on my freeview box??
It's just a cheap digihome £19.99 one from Argos, nothing special or complicated!;)
Thanks.

I don't think that anyone could get Film4+1 anymore as it was apparently replaced by Channel4+1 which is a shame as I found it actually much more useful than the new channel.Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????0

Coo - they didn't advertise that, did they?
I've got the same thing - Film4+1 receives C4+1 instead now, but there's no new Film4+1. Poo.Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -
I only found out when I noticed Film 4 +1 had disappeared and Film 4 had moved to channel 32, replacing Film 4 +1. Apparently it was advertised on ITV? It was also mentioned on this forum a few days ago when someone else had spotted the change.
I preferred it the way it was too.0 -
I guess the point is that advertising space is worth more on C4+1 because it's been well promoted from launch, has more frequent advertising time, and appeals to a wider range of people. It's easier/cheaper to swap to a more valuable channel than to launch an additional one.
That's how they make their money, folks!Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -

Nowt wrong with that. It presumably uses the same tuner as the Digihome pvr. If so you can rest assured that your £19 Digihome is better than a £179 Humax tuner with regards to picture and sound quality. I have the 80GB pvr and posted a bit of a whinge about Humax elsewhere after purchasing and installing a replacement for the Digihome.:o0 -
But for goodness sake it is just running the tape an hour later. I mean could they not have left film4+1??? I find it really hard seeing BIG BROTHER on 3 other channels (4+1, E4 and E4+1) when I am switching fast to get rid of it from channel 4. It seems like it is everywhere:eek:Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????0

Gutted! I hadn't noticed yet, but I normally rely on Film4+1 - I have a habit of finding films I really want to see about twenty minutes after they've started...Virgin card: £1,850.74 | Natwest card: £99.650

This is exactly what I will miss about Film 4+1 too.
I thought that it was a great channel and can't count the number of times that I have found a good film which had started at 9pm, then watched it from the beginning at 10pm.
Pity that it has gone!
Thanks for the replies though;)0
