Update on this month
Well I broke up from my bf (still truely gutted but think it is for the best) so I have been spending more money on going out. I've also had loaddddds of job interviews which can cost up to £26 (!!) to get to.
I'm still tracking all my spends so I know where I'm at.
I also use Top Cash Back when possible.
Life is a bot crappy at the minute and I'm hoping it improves soon.
Just realised I forgot to add my monthly counselling session to my SOA...I'll have to add it. It's expensive but its only an hour a month and she keeps me on the straight and narrow mentallyTo staying out of debt!

Hey,
Really, boring cheap day but had to be had! Went for a run, done the weekly food shop (£15!) and just relaxed. I keep thinking I've got a few fun weeks coming up so important I have a quite one this week. Been dancing around my room to the radio - so sad but it puts me in such a good mood :rotfl:
Good news is stbucks sent me vouchers for charging me twice.:T When I buy a drink (next month as skint this month) I'll put the money straight into savings. Say at least £2 a drink....that's at least £8 extra in savings. At the moment anything little is a big positive!
I've used my savings to buy a few expensive things and pay it back in monthly instalments. I was due to start this month but its 10 days till pay day and things are just a bit tight so moved them to starting next month and ending in August.
I done my SOA if I was to commute from the city with a car. Long story short I can't afford it...I'd need a promotion to be able to do it and it would still be tight. I'm sad about it. I do have the option to earn extra money but I would prefer to put that straight into savings rather than use it for the cost of living.
So thats my little update - have a good weekend xxTo staying out of debt!

What a boring weekend! I'm looking forward to do something next weekend - within budget of course!
So today I went into town and spent £4 on a top up shop. They were treats...I was within budget for my food shop so not feeling too guilty.
Now I have an unexpected trip to the city on Monday night...I'm pretty sure I can afford it.
I've been driving (no pun intended ha) myself mad trying to work out how quickly I can get a car. I'm pretty sure I need refresher lessons but I think I have found 10 for £150...which is a bargain. I also need to think about tax for the car which will be about £145. I can either wait or I can add it to the 0% balance tranfer I am thinking of getting. I wish I wasnt so money sensible sometimes and just went for it! I think I'm just goino add it to the 0% balance transfer and do lots of over payments. To staying out of debt!

Also today made a batch of lasagna and froze 5 dinners worth plus have 3 dinners worth for this week and had a portion tonight. I'm weird like that and can eat the same thing alllll week:rotfl: . The only thing I must start doing is laberling it...must get some masking tape.To staying out of debt!

Hello,
So feeling all a little bit stressed at the moment. I need a new phone so I got a credit card especially. The first credit card was American express and the phone company wouldn't accept it for pay as you go contracts.I cancelled it and ordered another one. Now the new company have sent me a confirmation email and taken like £1.23 off my card but they haven't sent me an email to say when delivering it. Called them up - they dont have any of my emails and dont recognise the confirmation code....argh! Luckily only £1.23 has been taken from my card...but still. I wanted to get cashback! So I'll call my card today and see what is going on and go into the shop.
In terms of moey spending I'm being a little less strict on myself this month as well it is such a rubbishy month. I'm only taking a £1 or £2 here and there. Luckily I don't buy clothes to make myself feel better. So I'll prob have to move over my £12 I saved for emergencys.
I hope next month is better emotionally and financially! I keep thinking no bad time stays forever:heart2:
Have a nice day everyone! xTo staying out of debt!

Hi Hun just had a read through of your diary, keep your chin up- no rain, no flowers. Good times will be coming your way soon!
Are you still managing your £100 a month to clear the overdraft? Still only £700 or so left? Keep on keeping on, this will be such a weight off once it's gone, especially mentally.
Also bravo to you for keeping yourself in check mentally by splashing out on counselling.:heartsmil Stay-at-home-mummy of two, pinching the pennies but loving it! :heartsmil

Hi there!:hello:
I started my own diary this week, and have been browsing (nosying) through some others today. I've seen yours and thought I'd post and say hi x
Sounds like you've had a tough month, hope ur ok x
I'm using my phone to quote so it's tough to look back and quote what you've written above, but I wanted to say well done for clearing so much of your £4,000 that's a fantastic thing to do!
I think losing debt is like losing weight, the last few pounds are the hardest to shift!
You've got my sympathys regarding the car, it's sooooo expensive,
Buy the car, 6 - 12 months services, MOT, petrol (everyone expects free lifts cos ur going to the same place / nearby and most people rarely contribute to petrol) parking costs a fortune most places, and insurance -especially if your a first time driver or have got 0 no claims is so expensive. And you never know when it will break down, blow a tyre, etc and u need to pay out more.
Can you tell I hate my car!!!
I'm finding that posting every day on my diary is really helping to keep me focussed and motivated, I wish you all the luck with yours x
I will come back soon and see how you're doing if u don't mind xxxxStaring debt - June 2013 - £21,000
